Window graphics are an attractive and affordable way to revamp your business front temporarily or permanently, without the hassle and expense of a complete overhaul. Perfect for when you’re displaying promotional information to your audience or simply want a decorative window display to grab attention for all the right reasons.
Window graphics are practical and well-liked as they do not restrict light or the view in or out of the window in the way a traditional poster would; this type of graphic is also great for light box promotions!
Are vinyl window stickers easy to apply?
You’ll be surprised at just how easy it is to apply your fresh window vinyl stickers to your windows. You can simply peel off the protective screen, and stick your window graphics on the inside of your window. They’re designed in a very specific way so that the sticker maintains its shape upon being stuck to a window.
How long do vinyl window graphics last?
The London Printing Company creates window vinyls that are built to last for long periods of time. However, the lifespan of vinyl window stickers generally varies depending on the type of vinyl used, and the location they’re applied on.
Monomeric calendered vinyl can last up to 5 years, while self-coloured vinyl generally lasts between 5-7 years.
How do I know what size to request?
If you’re not exactly sure what size you’d like your window stickers to be, you’re welcome to just let us know the dimensions of the window you plan to stick them on, or simply just the height and width of the full graphic. We’d be able to create the perfectly sized window vinyls with just that information.
How can vinyl window graphics be removed?
Should you ever wish to remove your vinyl window stickers, you can follow these 3 steps:
1. Heat the vinyl sticker with a hair dryer: The heat from the hairdryer will soften the vinyl graphic making it easier to remove. You’ll start to see the edges of the vinyl curling inwards.
2. Scrape the vinyl sticker with a thin, plastic object: It’s important to use plastic as opposed to metal in order to reduce the chance of any scratch marks being left on the window. Many hardware stores will stock plastic blades for the specific use of removing window vinyl. Alternatively, a credit card could also be used. Simply slide the plastic blade underneath the heated vinyl sticker, and slowly separate the vinyl sticker from the window by chipping away at it. You may eventually be able to peel the rest of the vinyl off with your hand, but this depends on its condition.
3. Clean off the adhesive residue: Even by following these steps perfectly, your vinyl sticker will likely leave behind an adhesive residue. You can find adhesive residue removers at most hardware stores to remove any remains of the vinyl on your window. Alternatively, a simple glass cleaning product might also do the trick.
